New World Capital Advisors (NWCA) has invested in IslamicMarkets, a financial intelligence, e-learning and investment platform focused on the global Islamic economy.

In a statement, NWCA stated that the platform will become a critical piece of the financial infrastructure serving the Islamic economy, similar to the role that Bloomberg plays in conventional financial services.

Islamic economies are some of the fastest growing economies globally, Indonesia is expected to spend $500 billion on infrastructure over the next five years, representing a unique opportunity for the Islamic finance industry.

Zeiad Idris, the co-founder of NWCA, said, “The Islamic economy is the emerging market of the next decade and we expect the market to continue to flourish.”

There is a growing global interest in Islamic finance among Islamic and non-Islamic countries, with London and Kuala Lumpur emerging as centres of excellence for Islamic finance.

“We are delighted to have NWCA on board as our partner, this will enable IslamicMarkets to build the world’s leading Islamic fintech platform, driving innovation across the Islamic finance industry,” added Shakeeb Saqlain, the CEO of IslamicMarkets.
